French retail-data specialist Valiuz has struck deals with all five major broadcast ad houses — TF1 Pub, M6 Unlimited, Canal+ Brand Solutions, FranceTV Publicité and RMC BFM Ads — becoming the first retail-data provider available right across French TV.
One data set, all five broadcasters
Valiuz, the French retail-data company built on loyalty data from a portfolio of major retailers, has announced partnerships with the country's five leading broadcast advertising houses: TF1 Pub, M6 Unlimited, Canal+ Brand Solutions, FranceTV Publicité and RMC BFM Ads. It says the move makes it the first retail-data provider available across the entire French broadcast-TV ecosystem.
In practice, advertisers will be able to plan and measure TV and connected-TV campaigns against real purchase data rather than age-and-gender panels alone. The pitch is 'defragmentation': one consistent retail-data layer that works whichever channel you buy.
Why this matters for retail media in France
Retail media has exploded on-site and in-store, but its data has largely stayed trapped inside individual retailers and platforms. Plugging a shared retail-data spine into broadcast TV extends that targeting and measurement power to the biggest reach medium there is.
It also answers television's oldest weakness against digital: proof. If a brand can tie a linear or CTV campaign to actual sales lift among real shopper segments, TV's accountability gap narrows sharply — exactly where broadcasters need to compete with the platforms.
The consolidation angle
Signing all five broadcasters at once is the real story. Rather than fragmenting into rival retail-data tie-ups per channel, the French market gets a single interoperable standard — simpler for agencies, and a stronger collective answer to Google, Meta and Amazon.
For Valiuz, becoming the default retail-data layer across French TV is a powerful position. For broadcasters, sharing one provider trades a little exclusivity for a much bigger, more credible data-driven-TV proposition.
What marketers should do
If you buy TV in France, ask your agency how to apply Valiuz segments to your next campaign and, crucially, how the sales measurement will be reported. More broadly, treat this as a signal: data-driven, outcome-measured TV is arriving fast, so build the capability to compare TV and retail media on the same sales metrics before your competitors do.

Retail media is escaping the retailer's own screens — the next battleground is data-driven, sales-measured TV, and France just built a shared standard for it.
Could you measure your TV spend against actual sales — and would that change how much you invest in it?
