Merx Marketing delivers 33 roller banners for South & City College Birmingham

Merx Marketing has produced and delivered 33 premium roller banners for South & City College Birmingham, supporting the college's 2025 student enrolment across the Midlands.

The brief

Ahead of its 2025 enrolment period, South & City College Birmingham — one of the largest and most respected further-education providers in the Midlands — turned to Merx Marketing for a run of high-impact display banners.

The banners needed to guide and welcome the thousands of new and returning students moving through the college's campuses during one of the busiest and most important weeks of its year.

What was delivered

Merx produced 33 premium roller banners at a custom 100cm × 200cm — slightly larger than a standard pull-up — turned around within a two-week lead time to hit the enrolment window. See more from Merx Marketing.

For a fixed-date event, on-time delivery is not a nice-to-have; it is the whole job. A banner that arrives after enrolment has started is worthless, however good it looks.

Why print still pulls its weight

In a digital-first world, physical display still does a job online can't. At enrolment, a clear, well-branded banner directs footfall, reinforces the college brand at the exact moment of decision, and creates a sense of occasion on campus.

For a high-footfall, time-sensitive event, dependable print delivered on schedule is marketing infrastructure — as essential as signage and staff on the day.

A smooth collaboration

SCCB's Head of Admissions & Customer Services, Brian Ruci, described the process as 'a smooth and professional experience', adding that 'the roller banners are excellent in quality and arrived on time'.

It was Merx's first project for the college — the kind of dependable delivery under a tight deadline that turns a first order into a lasting relationship.
