Deliveroo and Tesco star in their own buddy movie

Deliveroo and Tesco have launched WOOHOO!, a buddy-movie-style campaign from Pablo London marking Tesco's full grocery range, Clubcard prices and points arriving on the Deliveroo app nationwide.
Two brands, one buddy movie
Deliveroo and Tesco have turned a commercial partnership into a love story. Their new campaign, WOOHOO! Tesco now on Deliveroo, personifies the two brands as an unlikely buddy-movie duo who meet, team up and become firm friends, all set to Kenny Loggins and Playing with the Boys.
The work is by Pablo London, led by chief creative officer Dan Watts with creative directors Ed Redgrave and Conrad Swanston. The film was directed by Max Barden at Anonymous Content, with social content from We Are Social and media by Initiative. It launched on 12 October across cinema, TV, BVOD, radio, out-of-home and social.
What is actually being sold
Beneath the comedy is a hard retail message: Tesco's grocery range, including Clubcard prices and the points shoppers collect, is now available through Deliveroo across the UK. Rosie Gilligan, Deliveroo's director of creative strategy and campaigns, calls being able to do your Tesco shop on Deliveroo a big deal for customers.
That detail is the real story. Deliveroo is no longer just a takeaway app competing on speed; it is becoming a route to the weekly shop, and Tesco gains a rapid-delivery shopfront without building its own. Loyalty currency travelling across the partnership is what turns a convenience tie-up into a genuine habit.
Marketing Minute's read
Co-branded campaigns usually fail because each partner fights for the spotlight. WOOHOO! works because it makes the partnership itself the hero, giving the relationship a personality rather than splitting the screen into two competing logos. That is a template any two complementary brands can borrow.
The smarter move is keeping Clubcard intact inside Deliveroo. Loyalty is the stickiest asset in retail, and letting it flow across a partner platform means neither brand has to teach shoppers a new habit.
For smaller businesses, the lesson is to partner where your loyalty or data already lives, not where it would have to be rebuilt from scratch. The right collaboration extends an existing behaviour rather than inventing a new one.
Quick FAQ
What is the Deliveroo and Tesco campaign called?
It is called WOOHOO! Tesco now on Deliveroo, created by Pablo London and launched on 12 October 2026 to mark Tesco's grocery range, Clubcard prices and points arriving on the Deliveroo app.
Can you use Tesco Clubcard on Deliveroo?
Yes. The partnership brings Tesco's range to Deliveroo with Clubcard prices and points included, which is the core message the campaign is built around.
The best partnership ads sell the relationship, not the logos. By making Deliveroo and Tesco characters in a buddy movie, Pablo has made something people will actually watch, while quietly delivering a serious message about where the weekly shop now happens. — Daniel Nikolla, Founder of Merx Marketing
