Securitize Goes Public as Tokenized Stocks Push Past $3.4 Billion
Updated: 6 days ago

Securitize, the tokenization firm behind BlackRock's on-chain fund, made its public-market debut and tokenized around $295m of its own shares live on Solana and Avalanche, as the tokenized real-world-asset market pushed past $3.4bn.
What Securitize did
Securitize listed on the New York Stock Exchange and immediately put its own equity on-chain, with roughly $295m of tokenized stock live across Solana and Avalanche. The firm is best known as the issuer powering BlackRock's tokenized money-market fund.
The company said the real-world assets it has tokenized now total around $3.4bn, using its public shares as a working proof point for the model it is selling to the rest of the market.
Why real-world assets are the story
Tokenization means putting traditional assets, stocks, bonds and funds, onto blockchain rails for round-the-clock settlement and fractional ownership. BlackRock and Franklin Templeton are already in, and analysts argue tokenized securities could benefit fee-earning platforms even more than bitcoin and ether do.
A tokenization firm listing on the NYSE and then tokenizing its own shares is a neat demonstration that the bridge between traditional capital markets and on-chain finance is now live traffic, not a concept deck.
The Marketing Minute read
For brands, the lesson is to stop filing tokenization under speculation and start filing it under infrastructure. The interesting part is not the token, it is 24/7, fractional, programmable ownership, which opens doors for loyalty, fan equity and instant settlement.
Our take: the real-world-asset narrative is maturing from hype to plumbing. The brands that spot the loyalty, ownership and payments use-cases early will be the ones telling the next great fintech story, while everyone else is still debating coin prices.

How big is the market?
Securitize put the tokenized-asset total it works with at roughly $3.4bn, part of a fast-growing real-world-asset sector.
Tokenization is where crypto stops being a casino and starts being infrastructure. For brands the interesting part is not the token, it is 24/7, fractional, programmable ownership.
