French Influencer Fees Jumped 30% in a Year, Matriochka Study Finds

A study by French influence agency Matriochka Influences finds the median paid-collaboration fee in France rose 30% year on year, with micro-influencers seeing the sharpest rise and the biggest creators holding flat.

What the study found

A study by French influence agency Matriochka Influences, based on more than 600 paid collaborations with over 400 creators between 2025 and the first half of 2026, found the median paid-collaboration fee in France rose 30% year on year — from roughly €4,000 to €5,200 (24% on a like-for-like profile mix).

The averages hide a rebalancing: micro-influencers (10K-50K followers) saw the sharpest rise, roughly tripling to around €3,000, while the biggest "mega" creators (1M+) held flat at about €13,000.

Why it matters

A 30% jump in a single year is a serious cost increase for any brand with influencer marketing in its plan. But the more important story is inside the average: money is flowing toward the middle and away from the very top, a rebalancing of the creator economy that changes how budgets should be allocated.

Our read: the flat fees at the top and the surge in the middle tell you where value is moving. Brands are learning that a swarm of engaged micro-influencers can outperform one expensive mega-creator on trust and conversion — and demand, and therefore price, is following that realisation. The market is repricing engagement over raw reach.

What businesses should do

Rebuild your influencer budgets around the new maths. If micro-influencer fees are tripling, the arbitrage that made them cheap is closing — but they can still outperform mega-creators on engagement and cost-per-outcome. Model the return, not just the rate card.

And treat rising fees as a signal to get sharper, not simply to spend more. As the category matures and prices climb, sloppy influencer briefs and vanity-follower selections get expensive fast. Tighter selection, clearer measurement and creator fit matter more with every price rise.

Quick FAQ

How much did French influencer fees rise?

The median paid-collaboration fee rose 30% year on year — about 24% on a like-for-like basis — from roughly €4,000 to €5,200, per Matriochka Influences.

Which creators saw the biggest increase?

Micro-influencers (10K-50K followers) roughly tripled to around €3,000, while mega-creators (1M+) stayed flat at about €13,000.

What does the shift mean?

Value and spend are moving toward the middle of the market, as brands prize engagement over raw reach.

A 30% rise is painful, but the real signal is inside it: money's moving to the middle. Brands have worked out that a swarm of engaged micro-influencers can beat one pricey mega-creator — and the market is repricing engagement over reach. Influencer fees are rising fastest in the middle — the arbitrage on micro-creators is closing, so the edge now goes to sharper selection and measurement, not bigger spend.

Are you buying influencer reach, or the engagement and conversion that actually move your numbers?
